Celebrating 86 Years in 2011!!!!

Anyone notice we've changed our name to "Alumnae Chapter"? National decided that "Chapter" best describes our groups, aligns us with the "Collegiate Chapter" titles and brings us back to where we started. Originally, way back when, alumnae groups were called "chapters" …and now we are again! Our mission is the same – enjoy good friendship and do good things among good people in the name of KD – only the name has changed.

Fun facts:

• We've been around for over 85 years!
• Our members are
  • all age levels and
  • come from collegiate chapters across the country.
• We strive to hold events that are fun, appeal to our diverse membership base and benefit our local and national philanthropies.

Something for everyone...recent events include:

• Founder's Day brunch
• Holiday Party
• St Patrick's Day event
• Tanning party
• Lunch cruise on the Concord River
• Pawtucket Red Sox game
• Winery tour and tasting
• Paint your own pottery

We're proud of our annual Shamrock Event which raises money for our local philanthropy, Mary's House Family Shelter in Waltham, MA, and Kappa Delta's national philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America.

Membership is a great deal! Annual dues are only $15 and cover:

• member discounts to events
• the costs associated with running the AC
• a cost per member paid to Kappa Delta National annually
• a "members only" newsletter (we use e-vites and email for most communication)
• philanthropic donations determined by the group
• donations to area collegiate chapters
